At Grandma Meraki (hereinafter, the "App"), we understand that the privacy of children and families is of paramount importance. Therefore, we design our platform with the highest standards of data protection and security, offering an environment that is completely safe, educational, and free of risks for minors.

2. No Collection of Personal Data (Phase 1 Status)

Under the current Phase 1 development status of the App:

  • We do not request, collect, or store any personal data such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical locations from children, nor from users accessing the App as anonymous guests.
  • No traditional user account creation or profiles that collect personally identifiable information are required to enjoy the stories or play the audio recordings.

3. In-App Purchases and Premium Subscription

The App offers an auto-renewable monthly paid subscription to remove advertisements from the platform. The management of these purchases is carried out in a completely secure and private manner:

  • Processing of transactions and payments is handled anonymously via the RevenueCat service and the official distribution platforms: the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • The App does not have direct access to, nor does it collect or store sensitive financial information from its users (such as credit card details or payment credentials). The entire billing process is subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.

4. Regulatory Compliance (GDPR & COPPA)

Our policies strictly comply with international legislation protecting minors:

  • GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation): We respect user rights and ensure security when processing technical device information. By not collecting personal data from minors under the age of 16 (or the age established in their EU member state), we fully comply with the pediatric protection required by this regulation.
  • COPPA (US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): The App is intended for a child and family audience, but it does not actively collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. There are no social interaction features, chat rooms, or public profiles that could compromise the privacy of minors.

5. Technical Information and Service Providers

To ensure the correct technical performance of the App, analyze metrics, and show advertisements (in the free version), the App may collect certain anonymous device identifiers and technical usage information that does not identify the individual.

Our analytical and advertising service providers are contractually obligated to process this technical information in an aggregated, anonymous form, complying with the relevant child protection regulations.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in App functionality or legal amendments. Any future changes will be posted on this page with the corresponding updated date.
